Shenyang, China – 4 Nov 2020 - Ms. Diane Chen has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. The 3-year term will begin following the Association's annual General Assembly on November 10.

Ms. Diane Chen is General Manager and Member of the Board of the Shenyang New World EXPO (Management) Ltd. that manages and operates EXPO, the newest and most state-of-the-art exhibition and meeting venue in Northeast China. She has been active in UFI for six years, supporting the association's mission and driving its development programs within China.

UFI is a global trade association of global tradeshow organizers and exhibition venue operators, as well as the major national and international exhibition associations, and selected partners of the global exhibition industry. UFI's main goal is to represent, promote and support the business interests of its members and the exhibition industry. UFI directly represents more than 50,000 exhibition industry employees globally, and also works closely with its 60 national and regional association members. More than 800 organisations in 83 countries are presently members. Around 1,000 international trade fairs proudly bear the UFI approved label, a quality guarantee for visitors and exhibitors alike.

Elections to the UFI Board take place every three years. In the process, the members elect a truly global body with representatives from UFI chapters around the world. The Board of Directors is comprised of a maximum of 60 members.
