(Shenyang, 30 September 2016) The Shenyang New World EXPO has opened to the extraordinary success of the Annual National Planning Conference 2016 (ANPC) held 24-26 September. Nearly 8,000 delegates were registered and traveled to the capital city of Liaoning province from throughout China for the 3-day conference.

The success of the ANPC and EXPO was echoed by the Shenyang's City Planning Bureau which organized the conference as well as the Urban Planning Society of China that celebrated its 60^th anniversary during the event. The Conference used some 30,000 sqm of space within EXPO and approximately 16,000 sqm of space within the adjacent K11 Art Mall scheduled for opening in 2017.

During the event, visiting industry executive Mr. Zhenchun MEN, Chairman of Haiming International Exhibition Group, said after a comprehensive tour, "Shenyang New World Expo is clearly going to be one the best venues in Mainland China offering exhibition, conference, accommodation, food & beverage, business and lifestyle facilities, all fully integrated under one roof. Its high quality and artisanal decoration style exceed 5-star standards. I am confident that it will set a new benchmark for convention and exhibition venues and professional management in Mainland China." The Group is a member of UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, as is EXPO.

Cliff Wallace, Chairman of Shenyang New World EXPO (Management) Ltd. (SML), EXPO's private management and operating company said, "I cannot be prouder of our professional management and operating team. We were under enormous challenge to open the venue several months early for this special city sponsored event and managed to do it with great success."

EXPO is a part of a massive multi-use complex located in Shenyang on the Hunhe River adjacent to the city's Golden Corridor which runs through the capita city's CBD. With 24,000 square meters (sqm) of gross exhibition space and 4,000 sqm of multi-functional convention, meeting and banquet space, EXPO is Northeast China's newest and most innovative public assembly venue.
